Brain Injury Association of Tasmania (BIAT)


BIAT is the peak body for brain injury in Tasmania. BIAT is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation, working for people living with or affected by acquired brain injury. BIAT aims to promote awareness and understanding of the impact of acquired brain injury (ABI) to families, communities, and service providers through training, education and resources; as well as to lobby to address systemic issues which impact on people with ABI - both at a state level and through membership of the national body, Brain Injury Australia.

Headway Rebuilding Lives (Hrl)

Heaway Rebuilding Lives is a specialist community based rehabilitation service for people with disabilities, specialising in supporting people with ABI, their families and social networks, with in the (62) area code. Hrl is the largest ABI specific service provider in Tasmania and has over twenty years experience in supporting people who have ABI.

Tasmanian Acquired Brain Injury Services (TABIS)


TABIS is a not-for-profit, incoporated body providing community based rehabilitation servies to people with ABI and their families within the (63) area code. The primary focus for TABIS is the progrvision of physical and psychosocial rehabilitation for people with an ABI, their gamilies and significant others.

Headway North West (HWNW)

HWNW is a not-for-profit, community based organisation committed to providing specialised rehabilitation servies to people with an ABI and counselling/support for their family/carers within the (64) telephone area code.
