The Your Market Place website was launched in early June by the Premier.  This website offers people the opportunity to sell their ‘spare’ items and make some cash while at the same time supporting local community organisations.  When you list your item on the website – www.yourmarketplace.com.au – you are asked to nominate a (registered) local community organisation to receive the seller fee.

This news up date is to:-

• let you know that the Brain Injury Association of Tasmania (BIAT) is registered with Your Market Place as a nominated charity;
• make you aware of the website should you be looking to sell any new or second hand ‘surplus to need’ items;
• request your consideration of the Brain Injury Association as your nominated community organisation should you sell items via the website;
• request you forward this information to your family, friends and colleagues to let them know about the website and of BIAT’s involvement; and
• let you know the website also offers other services:- Your local providore, Your local takeway, and Your local business – you may wish to consider advertising your business/services or just appreciate being advised these services exist.
